Wyclef drops a music video today for his freestyle over Ace Hood’s “Bugatti” instrumental. Rather than sticking to the Bugatti theme, Wyclef chooses to stunt on the hook and changes Bugatti to McLaren. For those unaware, the reference is not just a random rare car choice. Clef is one of only 3 owners of the McLaren F1 in the US. Jay Leno has one (of course) and Rowan Atkinson has one. That’s it. These cars, on the rare chance that someone is selling one, are moving at upwards of 3 million dollars. It was released in 1994.

Just hitting the streets is “Society” from west coast MC Carbin. The mood is right and the hunger is apparent on this joint. The track is pulled from the upcoming EP ‘A.I.R.’ scheduled to release this month.

Legitimate Rap crews aren’t as prominent in Hip-Hop as they used to be. Rap is bloodsport, so it’s no surprise that the greater majority of MCs today are out for dolo. When a dope group comes along, it’s always refreshing for me as I miss the days of having standout collectives putting out albums. I damn near lost my mind when Slaughterhouse was formed.

B.I.C. (Bitches is Crazy) is an NYC based crew of 4 that is looking to establish themselves as one of the best groups now and forever. ‘Influence‘ is their latest release for the masses and, trust me, this joint KNOCKS! Production is handled almost exclusively by Chuck Le Garcon and VESA. Exceptions are a couple of joints by MP the God, SPVCE and Shaun G. Through 17 tracks, B.I.C. keeps the theme consistent regardless of the producer and that makes for an easy front to back play.

Lyrically, B.I.C. is on point. All 4 artists, Pete, Izzy Oz, Ill Spills and Yesus 199, play off of each others energy just as a group should. Each song and each verse is seamless and they all toss flows and styles back and forth effortlessly. ‘Influence’ is a really strong project that definitely deserves a download. Gist the Essence has been a well known name in NYC for years now. His Summer Madness mixtapes have done very well and he has hit every major stage in every borough. It’s been a minute since we last heard from him but he’s back in grand fashion with this Mills Miller directed video for “La La La.”

He’s in top form on this Rick Hertz produced joint! NY rappers have been putting on the last 2 years and Gist is taking his turn at the wheel. The bus is headed back to the NY raw! Get you some…

Snoop Lion follows up on “No Guns Allowed,” the new single from his Reincarnated album, by releasing the visual accompaniment for the song. The music video, which is primarily filmed in black and white, sees Snoop reinforcing the solemn topic of his song with news clips from shootings over the past few years. These clips are presented as fragmented bits layered over artistic shots (and sometimes juxtaposed with a church choir), creating an evocative collage of national tragedy. Aside from Snoop Lion, Cori B. – Snoop’s daughter – and Drake make an appearance. Enjoy the video above, which was directed by Jessy Terrero.

The long awaited project from Staten Island rapper Shah Ali is finally here. His 1st mixtape entitled “Long Live The Shah” tells the story of a young man who lives fast and parties hard. With two singles that leaked from the project “Let’s Party” & “Ray Bans” Shah has garnered quite the buzz. Heavily cosigned by Brooklyn Rapper “U.M” (Uncle Murder) Shah is looking to become a mainstay within the hip-hop game. With solid production & solid bars “Long Live The Shah” infuses hip-hop with a Middle Eastern flow, making for a great listening experience. But don’t take our word for it listen for yourself
